Alison Doody
Alison Doody was born in Dublin in Ireland on November 11, 1966. Model and an Irish actor. Alison Doody first made a film debut as an actress and Bond girl with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donavan played the role in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987. Charlotte appeared in Taffin (in 1998) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody started modeling after being offered by an experienced photographer. It led to a successful professional career as a model for commercials. Doody strove to avoid the glamour of nude roles that was a rule she incorporated into her acting. In 1985, following being noticed by the directors of casting for a James Bond new film, Doody took a small part in Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody appears within John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3. She is listed as one of the 12 top actors of 1986. 38. Doody, who was only 18 when she played the part of Doody in the film A Prayer to the Dying (1987) which starred Mickey Rourke. Doody is the tiniest Bond girl to be seen. A Prayer for the Dying featuring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was another early film where Doody played IRA Siobhan. Doody was an actress in silent films in the 1987 version to The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. Doody was Sapsorrow in the episode of Jim Henson's fable show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before taking possibly her most famous role in her career in the role of Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. Doody is part of the James Bond family, having played alongside Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was inspired by the publication fraud named the Hitler Diaries. After moving to Hollywood Doody was famous. Chosen to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokesperson for L'Oreal she went on to perform alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his agent and girlfriend. Doody's return to the screen was in 2003, when Michael Caine played Doody in an uncredited role. She was in the film with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version of King Solomon's Mines. Doody appeared on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. The following year, she had been scheduled scheduled to be the main character on The Asphyx remake, but that project fell through. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She also appeared on the show in 2014 as We Still Kill the Old Way. In November she received the Almeria award for best film and received a Star on Almeria's Walk of Fame.
