Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born November 18, 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix's athletic talent was apparent from the time she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished in second place in the 200-meter race during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation signing a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas and then enrolled in the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. The following year, Felix was awarded the first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking an all-time junior world record running 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. In 2005, she became the youngest world champion of 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently at the top of the podium in her various competitions during the Olympics held during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
