Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister from the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. and her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident as early as the day she began her studies at Los Angeles Baptist High School. In just 10 weeks following her first attempt, she finished with a second-place finish in the 200-meter race during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school by signing a contract as a professional athlete with the athletics company Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. One year later Felix won her first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting a junior world record by running 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion for the 200 meter race. The title was upheld once again in 2007, defeating her Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently at the top of the podium in her various events in the Olympics held during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
