Alison Doody
Alison Doody was born in Dublin in 1966. She was raised in an upper-class family. She's the youngest out of three siblings. She was educated at an abbey, and there she gained a passion for the arts. Later, she attended The National College of Fine Arts in Dublin however, she left as she didn't have the drive and decided to be able to take a few years off to consider the idea. As she was sitting with friends in a caf where a photographer walked in, she was inquired if she would like to act as a model. Because she thought she could earn some cash modeling, she agreed. The modeling business proved rewarding and fun, and shortly after, she started doing it professionally. Modeling contracts lead to commercials, and she travelled the globe. After seeing her acting work, she was encouraged to pursue modeling. She was sent to London when she was 19 which was where she won an audition to play in the brand new James Bond film, A View to a Kill (1985). Her love for acting was such that she pursued a career in this field. Her first movie was followed by a couple of TV productions in London as well as Dublin. Her breakthrough was in 1989, when she portrayed her role as the Aryan Seductress Dr. Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
