Simone Biles

 

Simone Biles won her 20th gold medal at the World Championships, as Team USA captured its seventh consecutive world championship on October 4 in Antwerp, Belgium. With 33 gold medals, she is the most decorated female in the history of gymnastics. That is not just the Olympics. Biles has performed an extremely difficult vault that it was the first vault that a female athlete ever performed at an international scale. This skill was previously known by the Yurchenko Double Pike Vault, has changed its name to Biles II. On the 6th of October, the world record-breaking athlete will take part in an all-around event for her own. It will be her first event on the international stage since the year 2021. Simone was born in Columbus Ohio in 1997 was taken away from the home of her mother because of her addiction. Simone and her siblings were put in foster care. Ron who was a retired Air Force vet and Nellie who was a nurse with a retirement, looked after Simone at the age of six years old. The couple also took in the older sister Adria. Simone as well as her siblings were adopted by their maternal aunt.
